This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.
• Conceptualize and present innovative game ideas and mechanics suited for the casino and card game sectors.
• Develop comprehensive game design documents (GDDs) that detail game flow, features, and mechanics.
• Ensure that game design is in alignment with business goals, engagement objectives, and monetization strategies.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Asia to gather requirements and enhance game concepts.
• Present and defend game concepts to business leaders, marketing teams, and product managers.
• Serve as a liaison between the design team and Asian stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and alignment.
• Create captivating and mathematically robust game mechanics that promote player engagement and retention.
• Collaborate with data analysts to assess player behavior and refine game balance.
• Innovate upon existing casino games by incorporating unique mechanics, features, and player incentives.
• Work alongside Art and UI/UX teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
• Ensure that game aesthetics are consistent with thematic elements (e.g., Lunar New Year, Caribbean themes).
• Provide constructive feedback on game assets, animations, and player experience flows.
• Stay informed about trends in casino gaming, competitor offerings, and player preferences.
• Comprehend regulatory and compliance challenges impacting game design across various markets.
• Evaluate player feedback and market performance to iterate on existing games.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in game design, particularly in casino, card games, or iGaming.
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English (both spoken and written) is essential.
• Strong understanding of casino game mechanics, card games (e.g., Hold’em, Stud), and sweepstakes models.
• Experience with game balancing, RTP calculations, and monetization strategies.
• Exceptional ability to advocate for ideas and rationalize design choices to stakeholders.
• Excellent teamwork capabilities, with the ability to coordinate among multiple teams (Design, Art, UX, Product, Marketing, and Asia-based stakeholders).
• Familiarity with game design tools such as Figma, Miro, Unity, or similar platforms is advantageous.
• Experience in the Asian casino and card game markets is highly preferred.
