Senior Fund Analyst – Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Supervise the daily and complete fund accounting processes for various fund entities.

• Prepare and assess monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

• Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, accounting standards, internal policies, GAAP, and IFRS.

• Coordinate annual audits and act as a liaison with both internal and external auditors.

• Develop, oversee, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

• Manage portfolio investment valuation and ensure precise calculation of net asset values (NAV).

• Provide analytical support for fund performance reporting and assist in management decision-making.

• Lead and mentor a team of fund accountants.

• Reconcile cash, positions, and other transactional data; identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Support automated solutions to enhance accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

• Deliver financial analysis and reporting to senior management, emphasizing key metrics and trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in asset management or financial services within an Alternative Investment context.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.

• Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.

• Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work independently.

• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and data management tools.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
