Senior Fund Accounting Associate, Crypto

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess events and data from portfolio companies to identify the right valuation action for each investment.

• Assist in the preparation of both audited and unaudited financial statements and collaborate with audit firms to ensure the timely completion of annual audits.

• Confirm that the accounting treatment for portfolio company investments complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and evaluate unique situations.

• Maintain the investment tracking system to ensure its accuracy and currency.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance automation and process improvement initiatives.

• Take direct responsibility for specific team functions and workflows.

• Engage in various ad-hoc projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 - 4+ years of proven operational excellence within the financial sector, including experience in Fund Administration and Public Accounting, accompanied by an outstanding academic record and a CPA license (strongly preferred).

• Ability to communicate efficiently with portfolio companies and lead investors, demonstrating polished professionalism.

• Experience in fund accounting specifically for crypto-focused funds.

• Familiarity with reconciling digital asset positions and transactions across various exchanges, custodians, on-chain wallets, and DeFi platforms is advantageous.

• Exceptional attention to detail — the capacity to identify corner cases consistently is essential.

• Outstanding organizational skills and a passion for systematic processes. We manage a portfolio of thousands of investments, necessitating a structured approach.

• Willingness to engage in hands-on work: achieving good data often requires hard work and determination.

• Comprehensive understanding of core financial concepts and a keen interest in the intricacies of venture finance. Your daily tasks will involve the legal, accounting, tax, and financial elements that form the foundation of the venture financing ecosystem.
