Senior Fund Accountant – Private Equity / Venture Capital

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee cash transaction activities and ensure that the corresponding accounting entries are precise, timely, and consistently documented.

• Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly or weekly basis, as necessary.

• Support the quarterly closing process by collecting and verifying NAV statements from underlying investment partnerships for fund of funds clients.

• Generate preliminary financial and investor reports, conducting initial checks and formatting as needed.

• Aid in the processing of capital calls and distributions, which includes sending mail merge notifications to client investors and handling capital call receipts.

• Administer client investor portals and address related inquiries from client investors.

• Assist in gathering K-1 header information for tax preparers, respond to requests for additional details from tax preparers, and manage the electronic distribution of K-1 forms.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

• CPA designation is strongly preferred.

• Experience in private equity or partnership investment accounting is strongly preferred.

• Technical interest and aptitude, with robust Excel skills.
