GL Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Record financial transactions within accounting systems for various client companies

• Process customer payments and maintain current Accounts Receivable aging reports

• Document vendor invoices, assign expenses to the appropriate ledger accounts, secure payment authorization, and arrange payments

• Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts

• Handle online payroll processing and accurately record transactions in the correct ledger accounts

• File sales and property tax as required

• Conduct additional accounting tasks as requested by individual clients

• Precisely track time spent on multiple client engagements for budgeting and billing purposes

⛳️ Requirements

• Reside in either Eastern or Central Standard Time Zones

• Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• Possess 3+ years of accounting and/or full charge bookkeeping experience

• Have a solid understanding of accrual basis accounting and payroll regulations

• Experience with QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based accounting automation tools

• Proficient in the Microsoft365 suite of products

• Strong communication and time management abilities

• Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing workload effectively

• A critical thinker with the capability to initiate process enhancements and solve problems

• Flexible to manage various tasks and adapt to shifting priorities

• Ability to work independently, a requirement for remote work

• Eager, curious, and motivated to learn about a wide range of topics

• Creative thinker with the capacity to propose improvements
