Senior Fullstack Engineer, Supabase

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design and develop backend infrastructure utilizing Supabase, PostgreSQL, Auth, RLS, Storage, Realtime, and Edge Functions.

• Establish well-structured database schemas with appropriate relationships, indexes, constraints, and migration strategies.

• Implement secure Row Level Security policies for tables intended for user access.

• Configure authentication processes, permissions, sessions, and access logic as required.

• Develop TypeScript/Deno Edge Functions for business logic, webhooks, scheduled tasks, and API integrations.

• Integrate external tools such as Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, SendGrid/Resend, Zapier/Make, or specific client APIs.

• Connect React/Tailwind frontends to the backend and facilitate the transition between UI and infrastructure.

• Evaluate existing backend implementations and recommend enhancements without complicating the product.

• Assist in transforming prototypes into stable, scalable, production-ready applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience in developing production-level full-stack or backend-focused web applications.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Supabase, including real applications utilizing RLS, Edge Functions, and Auth.

• Strong foundational knowledge of PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, query optimization, constraints, and the ability to interpret an EXPLAIN plan.

• Proficiency in TypeScript / Node / Deno for constructing backend logic and Edge Functions.

• Strong security awareness: RLS, input validation, permissions, and secrets management should be integral to your approach.

• Proficient in written and spoken English for asynchronous handoff, documentation, and weekly Google Meet meetings.

• Independent working style: capable of taking a specification document and creating a prototype, working autonomously, and presenting questions in groups.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate trade-offs and constructively challenge when a better technical solution is available.

• A portfolio, case study, clickable prototype, or live/repo link that demonstrates your thinking and building process.

• Experience with third-party API integrations such as Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, SendGrid/Resend, Make/Zapier, or client-specific solutions.

• Familiarity with React + Tailwind to assist in connecting frontends to the backend.

• Background in service-industry tools, such as CRMs, scheduling systems, operational dashboards, intake forms, or field-service workflows.

• A perspective on workflow and process design, including state flows, approval chains, dashboards, or operational logic.
