This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee the technical implementation and successful completion of large, intricate projects by providing architectural direction and coordinating efforts among team members and relevant stakeholders.
• Assume responsibility for the long-term architecture, integrity, and quality of the team’s codebase and systems.
• Advocate for the adoption and execution of an AI-driven Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), specifically leveraging agent-based building techniques while exhibiting a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
• Lead engineering design efforts, gathering feedback and fostering consensus within the team, while showcasing and applying best practices and design patterns.
• Maintain comprehensive ownership of projects, encompassing coordination, planning, risk management, security and compliance evaluations, design, development, testing, rollout, and maintenance; leading to enhanced customer, product, and/or business outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality, impactful technical contributions across the entire stack, including light infrastructure tasks and a full-stack Ruby on Rails monolith.
• Facilitate collaboration with teammates, partners, and stakeholders to promote team and organizational objectives.
• Mentor Level 5 engineers, enhancing the skills and expertise of those around you, and fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
• A senior full-stack engineer with 7+ years of experience and a strong background in technical leadership.
• Extensive knowledge in Ruby on Rails (6+ years) and PostgreSQL.
• Proficient front-end experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, preferably including Stimulus JS or React, along with familiarity with Tailwind CSS.
• Proven experience in managing and owning complex systems from start to finish, covering architecture, implementation, and long-term maintenance.
• Solid exposure to Heroku and/or Google Cloud Platform (or similar cloud environments).
• Practical experience utilizing AI throughout the SDLC and in product development, rather than merely as a supplementary tool.
• Ideally possesses hands-on experience building with agents or is demonstrably eager and capable of quickly acquiring the necessary skills in this area.
• Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends).
• Vacation: 10 business days annually.
