Senior Fullstack Engineer, Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant frontend projects, lead intricate technical endeavors, and collaborate directly with leadership to shape the future of our platform.

• Assist in tackling technical debt, completely redesign our client interfaces, develop and sustain our internal design systems, and create scalable solutions for one of our product verticals.

• Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to front-end and back-office improvements: Oversee the redesign of essential back-office pages and features within the Booking scope, including list and detail views, member profiles, establishment pages, and teacher tools.

• Execute interfaces based on high-fidelity prototypes provided by our dedicated designer.

• Produce clean, tested React (TypeScript) code that aligns with our internal design system.

• Collaborate with internal engineers to ensure long-term maintainability.

• About 30% of your time will involve backend support for the revamp: Enhance and adapt the backend logic that supports the revamped front-end features, including APIs, data models, and business rules.

• Confirm that the back-office pages you are reconstructing are fully supported end-to-end, addressing both visual and functional aspects.

• Work closely with internal backend engineers to align on contracts, identify dependencies early, and facilitate front-end delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of full-stack experience, with a strong emphasis on front-end development using React (TypeScript).

• Solid backend expertise in Python (Django or FastAPI) and comfortable working with high-volume systems.

• Comfortable in a hybrid role, able to deliver refined UI and review a backend pull request within the same day.

• Informal technical leadership: you provide feedback during code reviews, document decisions, and assist others in their growth.

• Strong written communication skills in English.

• Experience in a startup or scale-up environment, preferably in B2B SaaS.
