This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• You will go beyond mere coding, employing a product-oriented mindset.
• You will play a key role in shaping features from their initial concept to deployment, ensuring they meet our users' needs and align with our business objectives.
• As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Malt, you will be part of a specialized squad consisting of Software Engineers, a Product Designer, and a Product Manager. Each squad is responsible for a specific business domain and manages the complete development cycle.
• You possess over 6 years of professional experience in software development, with initial experience in a product-focused company (such as SaaS, fintech, or marketplace).
• You are highly skilled in **Java or Kotlin**, and adept at navigating intricate backend architecture, APIs, and data models.
• You have **initial experience working** with **Typescripts** and are eager to learn Nuxt and Vue.js.
• **You adopt a “Product Engineer” mindset**: You think beyond the code, are curious about the reasons behind features, and proactively propose enhancements while taking ownership of delivery from start to finish.
• **You build with pragmatism**: You know how to adjust your practices based on context. While you have a strong understanding of modern architecture, you also recognize when it’s necessary to act quickly and create temporary code.
• **Autonomy**: You are dedicated to enhancing the team's practices and can modify your methods to fit the context.
• **You manage the entire lifecycle**: This includes building CI/CD, testing, observability, and monitoring. Shipping is just one part of the process; you ensure that what you create functions effectively, endures, and scales.
• **Fluent in English**, you are comfortable both speaking and writing in an English-speaking environment.
• Onboarding: In your first week, you will immerse yourself in our culture, products, and services alongside other new hires at our Paris office.
• Equity: Every member of the Malt team is entitled to stock options.
• Malt sabbatical: Every three years, all team members are entitled to a fully paid one-month sabbatical leave.
• Free books: If you're eager to learn more about any topic relevant to Malt’s business, just let us know the books you wish to read, and we’ll order them for you—no questions asked and no approval processes required.
