This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ Design and enhance the architecture of our autonomous agent swarm β establishing agent boundaries, data flows, and the feedback loops that enable bees to self-correct and implement features from start to finish.
β’ Build and take ownership of the infrastructure that supports our AI-native pipeline, utilizing various AWS services such as Lambda functions, DynamoDB, and SNS/SQS.
β’ Lead with comprehensive technical specifications β if the logic isnβt documented in the spec, it doesnβt exist β converting complex product requirements into precise, agentic-ready designs that act as the definitive source of truth for AI-driven implementation.
β’ Guide and assess coding agents and LLM models, evaluating their outputs against a high-quality mental model to ensure accuracy, performance, and security.
β’ Expand and maintain our TypeScript/Fastify backend and React micro-frontend architecture, enhancing observability, reliability, and test coverage throughout the stack.
β’ Establish and uphold guardrails, monitoring systems, and self-healing mechanisms that ensure autonomous agents function safely in a production environment.
β’ Collaborate with Engineering and Product leadership to define the long-term vision of AI-native development at HiveMQ.
β’ Remain at the cutting edge of AI tools, agent frameworks, and LLM capabilities, continually refining how the hive thinks and builds.
β’ A robust software engineering foundation (5+ years) with practical experience in architecting and delivering full-stack applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
β’ Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure β including Lambda, DynamoDB, and associated services β with a clear understanding of potential issues at scale.
β’ Extensive experience working with AI coding agents and LLM-integrated workflows, with the ability to guide them effectively rather than merely prompting.
β’ A DevOps-oriented mindset β you have implemented the monitoring, alerting, and self-healing systems that maintain the health of production environments without constant human oversight.
β’ Strong architectural capabilities concerning bounded contexts, idempotent design, decoupled micro-frontends, and distributed systems.
β’ The ability to convert vague product objectives into clear, agentic-ready technical specifications, leaving no room for misinterpretation.
β’ A strong sense of ownership and initiative β you actively identify bottlenecks, offer solutions, and execute without needing prompts.
β’ Excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and leadership teams in a remote-first setting.
β’ Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
β’ Flexible working hours and the option for remote work.
β’ Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
β’ A collaborative and innovative work environment.
β’ Health and wellness programs to support employee well-being.
