This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• As a “Rockstar,” you have the flexibility to work from our offices located in Munich, Stuttgart, or Mannheim, or you may choose to work from home at any time.
• Your responsibilities are engaging and diverse: you typically collaborate in agile project teams (Scrum or Kanban) alongside other developers to digitalize critical sectors of our economy and society.
• The topics you address range from the electrification of the automotive industry to the modernization of public administration, ensuring your work remains diverse, exciting, and of significant relevance.
• You are accountable for maintaining clean, well-structured, readable, and well-documented code to facilitate seamless collaboration with fellow developers.
• You adhere to best practices and the latest software development methodologies, actively contributing ideas to enhance the successful execution of your projects.
• When necessary, you also lend your expertise to support colleagues, aiding in their growth and development through their tasks.
• You are a passionate developer who began programming at an early age.
• You possess a degree or have completed vocational training (e.g., apprenticeship) as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker).
• You have accumulated extensive experience in software development within the rail/Deutsche Bahn environment.
• You have a strong enthusiasm for working on both frontend and backend aspects, contributing to exciting projects.
• You are knowledgeable about modern web development concepts.
• You have experience with at least one major web framework (Angular, React, Vue).
• You are experienced with Java / Spring Boot.
• Incorporating DevOps with AWS or Azure is an integral part of your development process.
• Git and Jira are tools you are comfortable using.
• You prioritize Clean Code practices.
• You have several years of project experience in the DB environment or with railway IT service providers.
• You possess an understanding of railway-specific domains such as timetable management, sales/distribution, or train control and signaling systems.
• Proficiency in the German language at a minimum of C1 level is required.
