Senior Full-stack Software Engineer, Java, Quarkus, Angular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance backend applications utilizing Java, with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, resilience, and maintainability.

• Create and sustain microservices using Quarkus, playing a key role in advancing modern cloud-native architectures.

• Develop and manage frontend solutions with Angular, and engage across the application stack as needed.

• Design and execute event-driven solutions leveraging AWS services like SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.

• Collaborate with distributed architectures to help construct reliable and resilient systems.

• Implement and refine observability practices, including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.

• Engage in architecture discussions, technical decision-making, code reviews, and initiatives to enhance engineering quality.

• Contribute to automation, continuous improvement, and overall engineering productivity.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or developer copilots.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on backend development.

• High proficiency in Java, with practical experience in developing production-grade applications.

• Solid experience with both Quarkus and Angular frameworks.

• Essential hands-on experience with AWS, specifically with SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and API Gateway.

• Experience in designing and developing microservices along with distributed architectures.

• Understanding of event-driven architecture and cloud-based application development practices.

• Familiarity with observability practices, including metrics, logging, and tracing methodologies.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Practical experience with AI-powered engineering tools, like Cursor or developer copilots.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams.

• Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.
