Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, Clinical Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and React microfrontend (MF) components on GCP, adhering to established service patterns, the Medecision MF architecture (runtime composition, atomic design), and utilizing a shared component library.

• Create comprehensive full-stack features from start to finish: developing RESTful APIs (service contracts, versioning, multi-tenant isolation) on the backend, and using TypeScript and Tailwind CSS on the frontend.

• Implement workflows driven by events using Pub/Sub.

• Take ownership of GitLab CI/CD pipelines throughout the entire process: building, linting, testing, containerizing (Docker), and deploying services and MF bundles to GCP; writing JUnit 5/Mockito (backend) and Jest/React Testing Library (frontend) tests; creating Storybook stories with a story-first approach; and utilizing Datadog for backend and RUM observability.

• Collaborate with both on-shore and off-shore teams, as well as architects and technical leads, to ensure timely delivery and adherence to best engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable practical experience.

• Over 5 years of backend engineering experience in building production microservices using Java with Spring Boot (Spring Data JPA, Security/OAuth2/JWT, OpenFeign, AOP, Actuator).

• A minimum of 3 years of production experience with TypeScript/React, specifically in microfrontend architecture (Module Federation, runtime composition, shell/remote MF pattern); proficiency in Vite, Tailwind CSS, TanStack React Query, Storybook, and Jest/React Testing Library.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement RESTful APIs, covering aspects such as service contracts, versioning, error handling, pagination, and multi-tenant isolation patterns.

• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS architecture patterns, including tenant context propagation, per-tenant feature flags, and data isolation.

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform services: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), Pub/Sub, Firestore, BigQuery, Secret Manager, Cloud Logging, and Artifact Registry.

• Strong communication skills, capable of articulating technical decisions, engaging in design reviews, and effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
