This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with product teams, design, customers, and engineers to transform business and user challenges into tangible enhancements.
• Develop across the entire technology stack, including frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, relational data models, integrations, and AI-driven workflows.
• Guide concepts from initial exploration through to implementation, production deployment, and ongoing iteration.
• Create rapid prototypes for quick learning, then transition to developing robust production systems once opportunities are validated.
• Enhance AI systems using assessments, production traces, customer insights, product data, and operational signals.
• Design for uncertainty by implementing testing, observability, guardrails, fallbacks, auditability, and human escalation protocols.
• Develop enterprise healthcare products while considering privacy, permissions, edge cases, data quality, reliability, and supportability.
• Investigate new AI capabilities while balancing speed, quality, safety, cost, customer value, and maintainability.
• Utilize AI development tools extensively while maintaining ownership of technical decisions and ensuring production quality.
• Collaborate closely with a product manager to shape solutions while taking ownership of technical choices, execution, production quality, and outcomes.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their workflows and convert their challenges into delivered improvements.
• Over 5 years of experience in building and maintaining production web applications.
• Strong foundational knowledge at a senior level in frontend development, backend architecture, APIs, relational database design, testing, performance, and production debugging.
• Significant hands-on experience with AI beyond basic prompting or simple API wrappers.
• Background in building or in-depth exploration of an AI system, such as a RAG pipeline, automated or tool-using agents, evaluation systems, AI workflows, or model adaptation/post-training experiments.
• Ability to articulate what was created, the rationale for the chosen approach, any failures encountered, the evaluation process, and lessons learned.
• Practical experimentation with emerging AI capabilities and the capacity to identify significant product or business value.
• Skill in differentiating a promising prototype from a production-ready system.
• Capability to work effectively with product managers while independently managing technical decisions and execution.
• Openness to engage directly with customers to understand their workflows.
• Driven by measurable outcomes for patients, customers, and the business.
• Experience with LLM applications, agents, retrieval, tool calling, evaluations, or AI observability is a plus.
• Familiarity with voice systems, telephony, or conversational interfaces is advantageous.
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows, HIPAA, or protected health information is a plus.
• Experience in developing enterprise products with intricate integrations and operational workflows is beneficial.
• Familiarity with technologies such as React, Remix, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, Postgres, or similar is a plus.
• Technical interviews will focus on frontend, backend, APIs, system design, and relational database design.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; Solv is currently unable to sponsor visas.
