Senior Full Stack Engineer, NLP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Design and implement innovative features for the Noodle Learning Platform.

• Define database structures, create or modify REST endpoints, and assess and integrate third-party APIs.

• Convert mobile and desktop wireframes into frontend components, ensuring the UX/UI is flawlessly executed.

• Leverage product insights and collaborate with product and engineering teams to clarify requirements and deliver features that enhance user experience.

• Partner with engineering team members to cultivate and enhance engineering culture, standards, tools, and processes.

• Assist the engineering team with code reviews.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in developing both frontend and backend for high-traffic web applications.

• Significant experience with Python and web frameworks such as Flask or Django.

• Strong background in designing and building REST APIs and using ORMs like SQLAlchemy.

• Experience integrating with APIs created internally or offered by third-party providers like Stripe.

• Proficient in ES6, ReactJS, and one or more other JavaScript frameworks.

• Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SCSS.

• Familiarity with Flux/Redux, Saga, and Flow.

• Skilled in converting business requirements into technical specifications.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with effective problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets).

• Capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
