Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Internal Tools

📋 Description

• Design and implement software solutions across the entire technology stack.

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and backend infrastructure that supports financial markets.

• Engage in API design and contribute to product features.

• Take ownership of the delivery of high-profile features and projects from conceptualization through deployment.

• Provide mentorship to colleagues and shape the company's technical direction.

• Develop frontend trading dashboards and backend systems for Internal Tools features, including elite, high-yield cash, and paper accounts.

• Deliver comprehensive solutions across Alpaca's frontend and backend systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with a modern systems programming language such as Golang, C++, or Rust.

• More than 3 years of frontend development experience using TypeScript/React.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Skilled in HTML and CSS frameworks like TailwindCSS.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.

• Demonstrated history of developing user-facing features from start to finish.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and best practices for WebSockets.

• Strong attention to detail and an eye for design aesthetics.

• Experience in algorithmic trading (either professional or personal) is a plus.

• Knowledge of major cloud platforms, especially GCP, is advantageous.

• Understanding of financial markets is a plus.

• Previous experience in a startup environment is a plus.
