Senior Full Stack Engineer – Backend-Focused

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services leveraging Python and AWS Lambda.

• Construct, maintain, and enhance RESTful APIs that support cloud-based applications and integrations.

• Evaluate technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions with minimal oversight.

• Create software in accordance with established architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Debug, troubleshoot, optimize, and manage production systems.

• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to provide dependable APIs and comprehensive functionality.

• Engage in code reviews and proactively identify technical enhancements and potential risks.

• Contribute to frontend development using Vue.js as a member of a full-stack engineering team.

• Communicate effectively with technical stakeholders and support ongoing improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 6 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Backend Engineer, or Software Engineer.

• Extensive professional experience in building and maintaining backend applications using Python.

• Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, layered application design, and best practices in software engineering.

• Familiarity with building serverless applications using AWS Lambda.

• Experience with MongoDB.

• Background in contributing to frontend development using Vue.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.

• Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and providing production support.

• Proficient in working with Git and Agile development methodologies.

• Ability to comprehend existing codebases, identify technical risks, and operate independently within established architectures.

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
