Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable software solutions that automate processes related to mortgages and facilitate collaboration among end users.

• Collaborate closely with founders, senior engineers, and design teams to convert customer requirements into effective, practical software solutions.

• Influence engineering strategy and contribute to the planning of new product features and team initiatives.

• Design and maintain scalable systems, APIs, and services that are easy to update, expand, and secure.

• Develop, implement, and document robust, secure, and user-friendly RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Ensure data integrity, security, and governance across applications, adhering to best practices for data management and compliance.

• Cultivate a security-first approach in all development efforts.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (such as code generation, intelligent autocomplete, and automated refactoring) as an integral part of your workflow to enhance delivery and improve code quality.

• Employ AI tools to aid in documentation, code review, test generation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Assess and integrate emerging AI development tools and methodologies, assisting the team in continually enhancing software development processes.

• Apply AI-assisted analysis to debugging and troubleshooting workflows where applicable.

• Decompose large projects into manageable tasks, ensuring clarity and alignment within the team.

• Promote documentation and knowledge sharing to foster collaboration and onboarding.

• Create an environment where team members feel safe to express their ideas and disagreements while remaining open to new perspectives.

• Ensure that team discussions are centered around organizational objectives and strategies.

• Regularly assess and refine team methods and workflows.

• Mentor and support team members to enhance skills and ensure mutual coverage.

• Utilize thorough debugging and troubleshooting techniques to resolve software challenges.

• Establish and improve monitoring systems to enhance service stability and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with expertise in both frontend and backend development.

• At least 3 years of experience with frontend JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular, and backend technologies like NodeJS (these may overlap).

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL), including versioning, documentation, and security best practices.

• Demonstrated, regular use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to expedite coding, debugging, or documentation workflows.

• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases including Postgres, MongoDB, or MySQL.

• Strong grasp of the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies.

• Proven experience in leading teams or architecting large-scale enterprise products.

• Exceptional skills in problem-solving, debugging, and software design.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.

• Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and practical experience with services such as Serverless Framework, Lambda, and CloudFormation (preferred).

• Familiarity with Terraform (preferred).

• Experience with prompt engineering for code generation, refactoring, test creation, or building AI-powered product features (preferred).

• Knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and distributed systems (preferred).

• Experience with data engineering (pipelines, ETL workflows, data architecture) (preferred).

• Prior experience in early-stage startups is highly preferred.
