This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Execute backend software architecture and development along with system integration.
• Accountable for defining scope, conducting systems analysis, and overseeing software design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Convert system requirements into a technical design framework.
• Guide and engage in projects of varying scales.
• Create highly interactive applications, including intricate forms, dashboards, charts, and diagrams.
• Collaborate with end-users to assess current workflows and clarify project goals.
• Offer technical mentorship to junior analysts and programmers.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Over 7 years of experience in systems analysis, software engineering, and database design.
• Proven experience in software development projects both as a contributor and as a technical lead.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving, relationship-building, communication, and coordination abilities.
• Ability to learn independently and apply technologies and business processes swiftly and effectively.
• Assertive and capable of collaborating effectively with users, technical personnel, and management.
• Proficiency in Java 8+ / Kotlin.
• Experience with Spring, preferably Reactive Spring (familiarity with Reactive Streams, Spring Data R2DBC, Spring WebFlux).
• Knowledge of Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with Gradle.
• Understanding of GraphQL.
• Experience with GCP, particularly PubSub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of gRPC.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL (knowledge of document-based datatypes such as JSON/JSONB is preferred), including database versioning tools like Liquibase.
• Familiarity with Reactive / Functional Programming (experience with Java Vavr / Immutables libraries is preferred).
• Strong experience in JS/ES6/HTML/CSS.
• Excellent working knowledge of JavaScript and GraphQL.
• Extensive experience with React and/or other view libraries such as Vue, Angular, Svelte, etc.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Familiarity with UI libraries, preferably Material UI.
