This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Create front-end code as part of a site migration project for a globally recognized automotive brand based in the US.
• Execute high-fidelity, responsive UI layouts based on creative designs.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of UI code into applications while maintaining cross-browser compatibility.
• Function as a team member on a significant account, gaining insights into team dynamics and the expectations of various project roles.
• Define technical requirements for the presentation layer.
• Deliver interim outputs (such as style guide components, technical specifications, browser and market analysis, prototypes, proofs of concept, etc.) alongside the final live site or application.
• Engage in project estimation and assist in drafting technical and business requirement documents.
• Demonstrated experience in hand-coding visually appealing pages using HTML5, CSS (SASS/Less), and JavaScript.
• Solid foundational knowledge of the JavaScript programming language.
• Experience integrating web pages and applications with RESTful web services.
• Familiarity with Node-based workflows and build systems like Webpack.
• Proficient in JavaScript libraries.
• Experience participating in scrum teams within an Agile framework.
• Comprehensive understanding of contemporary web development practices, including responsive design and mobile-first layouts.
• Proficient with GIT and possess a strong grasp of version control best practices for distributed teams.
• Experience in developing AEM applications using version 6.3 or later.
• Ability to create custom components using HTML.
• Experience with creating custom templates (both Editable and Static).
• Familiarity with custom client libraries.
• Experience with multilingual websites and a strong understanding of AEM best practices.
• Worked with modern CSS/JS techniques in front-end development, using frameworks such as Gulp and Webpack.
• Understanding or experience with Java, Maven, OSGI, Sling Models, Servlets, Components, and Services.
