
Senior Fraud Investigator – Financial Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Implement operational risk and fraud review processes across financial products, encompassing identity verification investigations, account risk management, and escalations related to Super.com Card, Cash Advance, and associated workflows.
• Conduct manual inquiries into suspicious activities, application fraud, account misuse, identity-related risks, negative balance situations, chargeback-related abuses, and other loss incidents impacting financial products, while managing customer accounts.
• Track fraud, KYC, and operational dashboards to detect trends, exceptions, emerging threats, and opportunities for expedited responses.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of operational procedures, playbooks, and controls that bolster consistency, auditability, and decision-making quality across the Financial Products risk operation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, Operations, and vendor partners to strengthen controls, address gaps, and implement process modifications.
• Contribute to the definition and enhancement of risk reporting for leadership, incorporating fraud visibility, key KPIs, and product-level operational health metrics.
• Determine root causes of fraud losses, friction, or operational failures and suggest process, policy, tooling, or workflow enhancements.
• Aid in escalation management and response frameworks by documenting incident severity, ownership, and subsequent steps across teams.
• Over 3 years of pertinent experience in fraud operations, financial crime investigations, risk and payment fraud operations, KYC, and/or trust and safety within fintech, e-commerce, payments, or other high-risk transactional settings.
• Robust understanding of fraud prevention principles, operational risk controls, KYC and identity verification workflows, and case investigation methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the capability to evaluate risk signals and investigate intricate cases efficiently.
• Proven ability to investigate complex cases with sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to articulate risk decisions clearly and work collaboratively across teams.
