Senior Fraud AI/Data Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee individual workstreams and provide advanced AI and data solutions.

• Create and execute scalable AI and data solutions from initial requirements to deployment.

• Develop, test, and refine fraud prevention and detection rules using various programming languages.

• Build and enhance machine learning models and analytical workflows.

• Direct data analytics initiatives to uncover fraud, waste, abuse, and improper payments.

• Identify key areas for enhancements in program and payment integrity.

• Collaborate with clients to pinpoint AI use cases and convert business requirements into actionable solutions.

• Take ownership of client deliverables and assist in preparing executive-level presentations.

• Mentor C2 consultants and evaluate technical outputs.

• Ensure that solutions comply with governance, security, and responsible AI standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust; approved adjudication required before onboarding.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in AI, data science, analytics, or engineering.

• At least three (3) years of experience in a role related to fraud/payment integrity.

• Proficient development skills in Python/R, SQL, and data modeling.

• Strong expertise in statistics and data analytics.

• Familiarity with CSV/TXT, JSON, XML, Parquet, and other data structure formats.

• Experience in developing, testing, and validating machine learning and AI models at scale.

• Proficient in using PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, or similar data visualization tools.

• Experience utilizing data analytics and artificial intelligence in financial crime compliance and/or fraud, waste, and abuse prevention.

• Willingness to travel 25–50% for candidates outside of the DMV or NYC area.

• Active Public Trust or Suitability preferred.

• Experience in creating fraud and/or financial crime monitoring rules in programming languages preferred.

• Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences preferred.

• Experience in healthcare technology, healthcare business, or healthcare processes preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including data and ML services, preferred.

• Experience with deploying models into production (MLOps) preferred.

• Familiarity with Databricks, Palantir, Vertex AI, or SageMaker preferred.

• Prior experience in consulting or client-facing delivery preferred.

• Experience with Federal or State Medicaid, particularly in fraud prevention, detection, or program integrity preferred.
