This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Manage significant customer technical projects, which encompass designing and constructing reference architectures, developing how-to guides, and implementing customer use cases in production.

β€’ Collaborate with engagement managers to define the scope of professional services based on customer feedback.

β€’ Assist strategic customers in navigating transformative big data projects and third-party migrations, covering the complete design, build, and deployment cycle of big data and AI applications.

β€’ Provide consulting on architecture and design; initiate or execute customer projects to foster understanding, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks.

β€’ Offer escalated support for customer operational challenges.

β€’ Partner with Databricks Technical, Project Management, Architecture, and Customer teams to deliver technical engagement components.

β€’ Coordinate with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to give product and implementation insights and swiftly address engagement-specific issues.

β€’ Report directly to the regional Manager/Lead.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ U.S. Secret clearance or higher is mandatory.

β€’ Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics.

β€’ Proficient in writing code in Python or Scala.

β€’ Knowledgeable in at least two popular cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), with advanced expertise in at least one.

β€’ Extensive experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and an understanding of Spark runtime internals.

β€’ Familiar with CI/CD practices for production deployments.

β€’ Working knowledge of MLOps.

β€’ Proven experience in designing and implementing efficient end-to-end data architectures.

β€’ Background in technical project delivery, including scope management and timeline oversight.

β€’ Strong documentation and whiteboarding abilities.

β€’ Experience in client interactions and conflict resolution.

β€’ Technical skills relevant to the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions.

β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

β€’ Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
