Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of deployment engineering initiatives: Spearhead the technical execution (including product engineering) of Parloa’s deployments within large and intricate enterprise environments.

• Design for scalability and robustness: Create deployment solutions that fulfill enterprise-level standards for performance, reliability, and security.

• Engineer solutions in uncharted territory: Develop custom extensions, integrations, and configurations to bridge product gaps and satisfy enterprise needs.

• Collaborate across various systems and stacks: Function at the nexus of backend engineering, DevOps, and data engineering to guarantee seamless delivery.

• Partner with enterprise teams: Work directly with customer engineering organizations to navigate constraints and achieve measurable results.

• Mentor and guide others: Collaborate with and offer technical mentorship to junior in-field engineers.

• Influence at senior levels: Engage with enterprise architects and senior technical stakeholders, discussing solutions and architectures in detail to ensure alignment and credibility.

• Troubleshoot under pressure: Quickly resolve issues in mission-critical environments to ensure customer success.

• Shape the product: Act as the feedback conduit between the field and our core engineering teams—transforming deployment insights into platform advancements.

• Deliver lasting impact: Collaborate closely with Deployment Strategists to ensure scalable architectures and enduring customer value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software engineering, systems integration, DevOps, or data engineering roles that have a direct impact on customers.

• Demonstrated success in leading complex technical deployments and integrations within large-scale enterprise environments.

• Strong technical expertise in backend engineering, infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes/cloud platforms, APIs, and databases—along with proven experience in systems design and the capability to work hands-on in production systems.

• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, high-responsibility environments, particularly when deploying to live enterprise systems.

• A builder’s mindset characterized by a bias for action, creativity under pressure, and a passion for making things function effectively in real-world scenarios.

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and professional fluency in English.

• Strong plus: Experience in building or integrating AI/LLM-powered systems (e.g., embedding agent workflows, vector databases, prompt orchestration).
