Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – AI, Business Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with business teams to grasp workflows, identify pain points, set business objectives, and tackle operational challenges.

• Facilitate discovery workshops, chart current-state processes, pinpoint root causes, and propose enhancements.

• Assess opportunities based on business value, technical viability, readiness for adoption, and quantifiable ROI.

• Determine solutions by balancing process redesign, AI, automation, integrations, and software engineering methodologies.

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain production-quality AI applications, automations, integrations, and data solutions.

• Manage engagements from the discovery phase through to implementation, adoption, evaluation, and ongoing improvement.

• Establish success metrics and assess productivity, quality, cycle time, cost savings, risk mitigation, and adoption rates.

• Guide business partners to take ownership and further develop solutions post-delivery.

• Create reusable frameworks, patterns, and best practices for future transformation projects.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.

• Deliver solutions that comply with Datasite's security, governance, compliance, and privacy standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing production software.

• Ideally, experience with Python and contemporary cloud platforms.

• Proven experience in delivering production AI, LLM, automation, or workflow solutions.

• Strong consulting and discovery abilities.

• Experience in redesigning business processes to enhance efficiency, quality, or scalability.

• Ability to think systemically across people, processes, data, and technology.

• Strong product judgment, including decisions on buy-versus-build and automation-versus-process.

• Outstanding communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.

• Demonstrated ownership, flexibility, and comfort in navigating ambiguous environments.

• Experience leading organizational change management and adoption is an advantage.

• Preferred experience in regulated or security-focused environments.

• Must be situated in the CST or EST time zones.
