This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to define requirements for navigation systems.
• Analyze, source, and select sensor solutions intended for the navigation system.
• Create sensor models in simulation for the assessment of the navigation system.
• Implement state estimation algorithms within flight software.
• Develop testing methods to verify adherence to requirements, best practices, and regulatory standards.
• Assess the performance of the navigation system through simulation, hardware-in-loop, and flight test scenarios.
• Master's degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related advanced field.
• Technical proficiency in one of the following areas: Kalman filtering, GNSS navigation, inertial navigation, or other navigation technologies.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in the development and testing of navigation algorithms.
• Professional background in developing C/C++ flight software along with Python for data reduction and analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
