This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.
β’ Oversee the implementation of the Fleet Management program, coordinating with both internal stakeholders and external service providers.
β’ Serve as the main liaison between internal clients and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
β’ Investigate fleet-related challenges and spearhead resolution efforts to guarantee stakeholder satisfaction.
β’ Pursue continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer service, minimizing costs, and boosting process efficiency.
β’ Analyze fleet performance metrics to assess program effectiveness and support enhancement projects.
β’ Maintain fleet performance indicators, dashboards, and necessary periodic reports.
β’ Lead budget planning, monitoring, research, and analysis, ensuring program implementation remains within budget.
β’ Offer constructive feedback, support policy enhancements, and lead or contribute to fleet projects, training, and program rollouts.
β’ Analyze data to optimize fuel usage in daily company vehicle operations.
β’ Assess maintenance, downtime, and repair cost data to balance reliability with cost management and avoid breakdowns.
β’ Align vehicle specifications with duty cycles, environments, and safety requirements, collaborating with operations and suppliers.
β’ Utilize technical knowledge of engines, drivetrains, emissions, and safety systems to interpret issues and assist with maintenance and safety decisions.
β’ A college, university, or equivalent degree, or substantial relevant experience is required.
β’ This role may necessitate licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
β’ A minimum of intermediate-level relevant work experience is required.
β’ Educational background or experience in Fleet Management, Vehicle Technician roles, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, or other industry-related areas concerning the operation of commercial vehicles.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of regulations governing commercial vehicle operations across Canada.
β’ Familiarity with Hours of Service, Cargo Securement, Vehicle Maintenance, DVIR, Driver Qualification, and Driver Training requirements.
β’ Ability to influence business stakeholders to comply with policies, regulations, and best practices through effective communication skills.
β’ Experience working collaboratively with business support teams to conduct incident investigations and prepare reports.
β’ Proven experience in leading compliance-related reporting to government agencies, external regulatory audits, roadside inspections, and Provincial certificate renewals.
β’ Knowledge and experience with vehicle telematics systems and various fleet management databases.
β’ Strong attention to detail and capability to organize data from multiple sources.
β’ Experience in executing tasks related to KPIs.
β’ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet performance objectives.
β’ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Database Management, and various AI tools.
