Senior Fleet Safety & Compliance Analyst

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of the Fleet Management program, collaborating with both internal teams and external service providers.

• Serve as the main liaison between internal clients and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.

• Investigate fleet-related challenges and spearhead resolution efforts to guarantee stakeholder satisfaction.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer service, lowering costs, and boosting process efficiency.

• Evaluate fleet performance data to assess program effectiveness and support enhancement projects.

• Maintain fleet performance metrics, dashboards, and necessary periodic reports.

• Lead budget planning, monitoring, research, and analysis, ensuring that program execution remains within budget constraints.

• Offer constructive feedback, advocate for policy enhancements, and lead or assist in fleet projects, training, and program rollouts.

• Analyze data to improve fuel efficiency in daily company vehicle operations.

• Examine maintenance, downtime, and repair cost data to balance reliability with cost management while proactively identifying failure trends.

• Align vehicle specifications with duty cycles, environments, and safety requirements using performance and usage data.

• Utilize technical knowledge of engines, drivetrains, emissions, and safety systems to interpret issues and support maintenance and safety decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college, university degree, or equivalent relevant experience is required.

• This role may necessitate licensing to comply with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• Intermediate-level relevant work experience is required.

• Education or experience in Fleet Management, Vehicle Technician roles, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, or other industry-related experiences pertinent to the operation of commercial vehicles.

• Comprehensive understanding of regulations governing the operation of commercial vehicles across Canada.

• Familiarity with Hours of Service, Cargo Securement, Vehicle Maintenance, DVIR, Driver Qualification, and Driver Training requirements.

• Capability to influence business stakeholders to adhere to policies, regulations, and best practices through effective communication skills.

• Experience in conducting incident investigations and preparing reports.

• Background in compliance-related reporting to government entities, external regulatory audits, roadside inspections, and Provincial certificate renewals.

• Knowledge and experience with vehicle telematics systems and various fleet management databases.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize data from multiple sources.

• Experience in executing tasks related to KPIs.

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to meet performance objectives.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft applications, Database Management, and various AI tools.
