Senior Financial Statements Preparer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive preparation and evaluation of statutory financial statements for various EMEA entities.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams.

• Guarantee timely and high-quality statutory audits.

• Offer technical support and guidance to junior team members.

• Assess deliverables for quality and consistency.

• Ensure coherence between statutory and corporate reporting, including bridges between local GAAP and US GAAP.

• Collaborate with regional finance and controllership teams to address accounting and audit challenges.

• Propel process enhancements, automation, and standardization in statutory reporting practices.

• Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards or corporate initiatives.

• Maintain controls and documentation to guarantee audit readiness and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in statutory accounting, audit, or financial reporting within a multinational context.

• Extensive technical expertise in IFRS and local GAAPs across the EMEA region.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Practical experience with SAP or similar enterprise ERP systems.

• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.

• Capacity to manage multiple entities under strict reporting timelines.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities across diverse, cross-border teams.

• Ability to work autonomously and drive key deliverables in a complex, fast-paced setting.

• Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, or a recognized local equivalent (preferred).

• Previous experience in a Big 4 audit firm or a large multinational corporate center (preferred).

• Familiarity with cross-border statutory audits, group consolidation, and reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP (preferred).

• Proficiency in additional European languages such as German, French, or Spanish (preferred).
