Senior Financial Planning Specialist, CFP Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive financial plans for affiliated advisors, covering areas such as retirement, tax, estate, education funding, insurance, cash flow, Social Security analysis, and more.

• Conduct in-depth tax analyses, including Roth conversion modeling and strategies for tax-efficient withdrawals.

• Develop estate planning scenarios and collaborate with advisors on trust, gifting, and wealth transfer strategies.

• Examine client documents to uncover planning opportunities.

• Act as a reliable planning expert for independent advisors, equipping them with deliverables and talking points for client meetings.

• Assist in defining and enhancing workflows and quality standards for centralized planning.

• Assess and improve the financial planning technology stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a CFP® certification (active and in good standing).

• 3–5 years of practical experience in creating comprehensive financial plans within a professional environment (RIA, broker-dealer, or planning firm).

• Proficient understanding of financial planning software for comprehensive planning, tax planning, and estate planning (e.g., RightCapital, Holistiplan, Wealth.com, eMoney, or similar applications).

• Capability to convert complex planning concepts into clear, actionable deliverables that advisors can confidently present to their clients.

• Comfortable managing multiple advisor relationships simultaneously, each with unique styles and client demographics.

• Preferred Series 65 or 7 & 63 certifications.

• Experience in a multi-advisor or enterprise RIA setting.

• Awareness of impact investing and values-aligned financial planning.

• Proven history of enhancing processes.

• Interest in mentoring or leading others.
