Senior Financial Management Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver financial analysis and strategic recommendations to aid in planning, resource distribution, and operational decision-making.

• Track budget implementation and financial performance to guarantee compliance with federal regulations, appropriations laws, and agency policies.

• Create financial reports, expenditure analyses, forecasts, and budget justifications for senior management.

• Manage financial operations including budgeting, accounting, internal controls, financial reporting, and audit readiness.

• Perform financial assessments to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for cost reductions and operational efficiencies.

• Counsel leadership on financial management policies, procedures, compliance obligations, and funding strategies.

• Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to assess funding needs and suggest resource allocation options.

• Assist in audits, corrective action plans, and financial management reviews involving both internal and external oversight entities.

• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial data and financial management systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.

• At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in federal financial management, budgeting, accounting, or related fields.

• In-depth knowledge of federal financial management principles, budgeting practices, accounting, and appropriations law.

• Strong comprehension of budget formulation, execution, fund control, and financial reporting within a federal context.

• Experience in developing and executing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Advanced analytical, forecasting, and financial management capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.

• Experience overseeing budget formulation and execution activities within a federal agency setting.
