Business Analyst – Eligibility Systems

📋 Description

• Business Analysts play a crucial role in connecting IT with the business by evaluating and enhancing the organization’s processes and systems through data analysis and the identification of opportunities for improvement.

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business, policy, technical, and functional requirements.

• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process documentation, and requirements traceability.

• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams during discovery, design reviews, and project implementation activities.

• Assist in backlog refinement, prioritization, and management tasks to ensure alignment of solution delivery with business objectives and stakeholder requirements.

• Mentor teams in applying Agile principles and practices throughout project execution, promoting an Agile mindset through team planning, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, engage stakeholders, and coordinate efforts across project teams.

• Examine business processes, business metrics, and associated data to detect issues, gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement and automation.

• Aid in system testing, user acceptance testing, and data validation tasks.

• Keep system documentation, project documentation, and project metrics up to date.

• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of IT strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance with project processes, formats, and documentation standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• Alternatively, Four (4) years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree

• Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in business analysis, specifically supporting integrated eligibility, Medicaid, SNAP, or similar systems

• Proven experience in eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements within Agile delivery settings

• Experience facilitating solution delivery through backlog refinement, prioritization, user story development, and requirements management

• Background in supporting Agile teams, including Scrum ceremonies, testing activities, and cross-functional collaboration

• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and reasoning abilities, with competence in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to pinpoint issues and propose solutions

• Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to convey complex business, policy, and technical concepts to diverse audiences

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with and influence business, policy, operations, and technical stakeholders

• Experience in coordinating activities across various workgroups and advising cross-functional teams in a dynamic project environment

• Must be a US Citizen

• Must have the ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must receive approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST before onboarding with Guidehouse

• Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred

• Preference for West Coast candidates (AKST, PST, or MST time zones); must be able to work AKST
