This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with Sales and stakeholders to establish program pricing and budgets using predefined templates.
• Review, revise, and secure approvals for program budgets.
• Ensure accurate and timely client invoicing in line with budgets and contractual agreements.
• Generate and distribute QuickBooks invoices while monitoring accounts receivable.
• Address billing discrepancies, assist in collections, and manage commission reconciliations.
• Align client sales reports with internal records and compile commission and agent performance reports.
• Track program hours, budgets, invoicing, and outstanding reconciliations to manage cash flow effectively.
• Supervise Accounts Payable functions, including vendor bills, employee expenses, and payment processing.
• Manage biweekly payroll through ADP, verifying hours, payroll data, vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, and necessary adjustments.
• Coordinate payroll-related employee modifications and assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare monthly project profit and loss statements, profitability reports, forecasts, and budget-versus-actual evaluations.
• Evaluate financial variances, trends, risks, opportunities, and program KPIs; provide recommendations to management.
• Generate regular client, corporate, management, and ad hoc financial and operational reports.
• Maintain reporting trackers, master files, and financial models.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes for the SVP Finance.
• Prepare reconciliations, schedules, and documentation for reporting, accountants, auditors, and advisors.
• Aid in year-end working papers, tax-related obligations, WSIB, and regulatory reporting.
• Enhance financial processes, controls, reporting tools, workflows, templates, and automation.
• Document financial procedures and ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, management accounting, project accounting, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Proficient in Excel, with the capability to create financial models, reports, and analytical tools.
• Familiarity with ADP, QuickBooks, and time-tracking software.
• Experience in project-based businesses, professional services, marketing agencies, staffing organizations, or other multi-client environments is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage large data sets and recognize inconsistencies or trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Comfortable engaging with senior management, program managers, clients, vendors, and employees.
• Ability to work autonomously and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
• Capable of effectively working in a fully remote environment.
