Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Conducts financial analysis, reporting, and business support while addressing external inquiries.

• Oversees the management and administration of the FPA Planning system (NetSuite Planning and Budgeting NSPB).

• Assists in the development and creation of financial forecasts and budgets for all significant forecasting and budgeting cycles.

• Develops report templates to fulfill the analysis and requirements of management and FPA personnel.

• Accountable for generating multiple reporting packages utilized internally and externally.

• Prepares reports and analyzes trends in P&L results and business metrics against expectations to provide insights into business performance.

• Aids the Accounting department during closing periods to ensure data integrity.

• Manages monthly consolidated headcount reporting.

• Creates and maintains reporting hierarchies for financial systems (NetSuite, NSPB, and Smart View).

• Supplies supporting schedules for external reporting (Monthly Management Review and Lender reporting).

• Distributes financial data to the Accounting/Finance team for review during the accounting close process.

• Assists with ad hoc report requests from the Board of Directors and the internal management team.

• Provides business support for executives and various departments, including Finance, HR, Legal, and IT.

• Creates, audits, and updates documentation related to business and reporting processes.

• Employs modern reporting tools (NSPB, PowerQuery, and PowerBI) and AI (Claude and CoPilot) to enhance accuracy and simplify reporting.

• Collaborates with Sales, Billing, and IT teams to assess business processes and identify opportunities for improving inputs to achieve reporting and analysis outcomes.

• Performs other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• At least five (5) years of professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, planning, and financial modeling.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with company-wide ERP systems (NetSuite).

• Knowledgeable in financial planning systems (NSPB).

• Familiar with financial reporting systems (NSPB and Smart View).

• Experienced with sales and marketing systems (HubSpot, Service Now, and ConnectWise).

• Capable of working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where accuracy is paramount.

• Ability to summarize and communicate financial analysis clearly to non-financial business partners.

• Skilled in handling highly confidential data and information.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• Proactive, forward-thinking attitude with a positive approach.

• Capable of working independently and taking ownership of produced work.

• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), particularly with individuals in other business groups.

• Ability to cultivate positive and professional relationships with colleagues and leadership while working effectively across organizational boundaries.
