Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and integration of forecasts and long-term financial strategies.

• Evaluate discrepancies and deliver clear, actionable insights to business leaders.

• Collaborate with department heads to assess assumptions and enhance financial forecasting accuracy.

• Create dashboards, models, and reporting tools to aid in decision-making processes.

• Utilize advanced analytics, financial technologies, and cutting-edge AI tools to refine forecasting and automate reporting tasks.

• Identify opportunities to incorporate automation, machine learning models, or data visualization tools.

• Assist with balance sheet strategy, liquidity planning, cash management, and investment portfolio management.

• Support interest rate risk modeling and financial scenario assessments.

• Provide regular and ad hoc analyses to inform financial performance and capital distribution.

• Facilitate the enterprise risk management initiative and conduct semi-annual risk evaluations.

• Work with business units to recognize, evaluate, and mitigate financial and operational risks.

• Enhance risk reporting structures and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Assess and support business investments using ROI modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and ongoing performance monitoring.

• Deliver insights on product-level profitability to guide pricing, growth, and strategic decisions.

• Conduct general ledger analysis and reconciliation, ensuring the integrity of financial data.

• Maintain and update financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, internal guidelines, and Banking/Credit Union regulations.

• Collaborate with organizational leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.

• Clearly communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.

• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, reporting capabilities, and financial performance.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• 3–5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or treasury roles.

• Experience in credit unions, banking, or risk management is essential.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling abilities.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities independently and meet strict deadlines.

• High degree of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.

• Experience with data analytics, financial technology platforms, or AI-driven tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, or similar.

• Reliable internet connection with sufficient speed for video conferencing and screen sharing.

• Smartphone with the latest iOS/Android operating system.

• Ability to spend extended periods sitting at a workstation and working on a computer.

• Capability to communicate with colleagues and customers through email, chat, teleconference, and/or phone.

• Must reside within the United States; applicants from Montana, Nebraska, Rhode Island, or Puerto Rico are not eligible.

• U.S. work authorization is required.
