Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist project teams with all financial aspects related to the execution of clinical trials.

• Aid in the creation of the monthly invoicing worksheet, which serves as the primary document for client invoicing and revenue recognition.

• Conduct variance analysis to compare projected revenue against actual revenue, highlighting discrepancies, scope changes, and more.

• Review work orders and change order budgets against actual activities to identify tasks that fall outside the agreed scope.

• Execute monthly Earned Value Analyses (EVA) alongside Project Directors and Project Managers, and participate in monthly project review meetings as necessary.

• Assist the Executive Director of Operational Finance with the preparation of contract documents, including statements of work and change orders.

• Collaborate with the Company Accountant to support financial reporting and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closures.

• Work with the Company Accountant to guarantee the timely dissemination of all monthly financial data and cooperate with others in the Finance department to meet overall departmental goals and objectives.

• Address inquiries from the CFO and Executive Director of Operational Finance concerning financial outcomes, special reporting requests, and ad hoc analyses related to projects.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and features to improve workflow and internal controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Europe: A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the accounting discipline.

• North America: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.

• At least five years of experience in general ledger and financial reporting, with a solid understanding of all aspects of the accounting cycle, project budgets, financial project management support, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), and contract review, or equivalent relevant experience and/or demonstrated competencies.

• Willingness to undertake occasional domestic and international travel, including overnight stays.

• Proficiency in English, and for non-English speaking countries, fluency in the local language of the country where the position is located.
