Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive financial and data analytics for loan, deposit, and investment portfolios.

• Develop and sustain operational, financial, and compliance reporting.

• Summarize critical insights and create reporting packages for executives and the Board.

• Design, create, and automate operational dashboards.

• Enhance corporate reporting processes and eliminate manual data handling.

• Execute financial modeling, yield analyses, and scenario testing for investment and lending portfolios.

• Assess capital deployment and profitability strategies.

• Maintain essential financial planning models and carry out quarterly reforecasting.

• Produce dependable operational projections.

• Assist in the annual budgeting process with trend analysis models, variance reports, and baseline templates.

• Examine account origination, pricing structures, funds transfer pricing (FTP), and product-level margins for loan and deposit portfolios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

• 4–6+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis.

• Advanced hands-on knowledge of budgeting and forecasting software (e.g., Adaptive, Workday, Hyperion).

• Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering data integrity and reporting accuracy.

• Advanced skills in data querying, structuring, and reporting automation tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel).

• Capability to convert complex financial datasets into concise summaries for department heads, executives, and Board presentations.

• Ability to autonomously manage deliverables and adhere to tight reporting deadlines in a remote setting.

• Direct experience with financial institution reporting, including FDIC Call Reports and regulatory submissions, is advantageous.

• Knowledge of bank profitability drivers, including product/client/divisional margin analysis and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) concepts.

• Experience in building and maintaining capital allocation models to assess product-level return on capital.
