Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Guide and develop financial analysts through mentorship and training.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of FP&A on all financial planning & analysis and decision support activities across the offices served.

• Review and prepare income statement variances, ensuring explanations are clear, concise, and adequately address any discrepancies.

• Analyze and monitor results related to year-over-year growth, profitability, and performance against budget and forecasts across a wide range of metrics, supporting business and finance leaders while striving to enhance business performance.

• Review and develop budgets and forecasts for the offices served.

• Partner with office leaders to improve the financial analysis of the business, including developing and refining metrics and measures that provide senior leadership with clear, actionable business intelligence regarding performance drivers.

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with office leaders, Senior Financial Analysts, Accounting Centers of Excellence, and operational teams across the organization.

• Deliver standard and ad hoc analyses; seek innovative methods to examine the business and enhance productivity.

• Review and prepare analyses, commentary, and presentation materials for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review meetings.

• Support acquisition integration and due diligence efforts.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and functional peers to assist in implementing newer finance tools, including the Workday Adaptive Budget and Forecasting system, standardized Agency Management system, Risk Match, Carrier Scorecard analysis, and other technology initiatives across Arrowhead Specialty.

• Provide assistance in month-end accruals as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience in an analyst position.

• Proven experience in executing projects and initiatives that yield measurable financial outcomes, with an emphasis on promoting organic growth.

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory.

• Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI is preferred but not essential.
