Senior Finance Manager – DTC E‑Commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will oversee our monthly financial reporting, which includes profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.

• You will prepare budget and variance analyses while providing clear, actionable recommendations.

• You will analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), contribution margins, and product margins to identify opportunities for optimization.

• You will develop subscription reporting that includes monthly recurring revenue (MRR), churn rates, customer lifetime value, and unit economics.

• You will assess the profitability of various customer segments and create meaningful KPI dashboards for the founder.

• You will take charge of our working capital management.

• You will create and maintain comprehensive cash flow forecasts and liquidity plans.

• You will enhance payment cycles among customers, suppliers, and service providers.

• You will manage our multi-currency bank accounts and payment frameworks.

• You will formulate strategies to ensure adequate liquidity reserves.

• You will coordinate with our external accounting providers to ensure all financial processes are carried out efficiently and punctually.

• You will be responsible for the entire monthly closing process.

• You will manage intercompany transactions among our entities.

• You will ensure the integrity of our financial data through regular account reconciliations.

• You will oversee collaboration with our external tax advisors.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or strategic finance.

• You are fluent in both English and German (C1/C2).

• You have experience working with external tax advisors and possess a solid understanding of EU VAT, corporate tax, and intercompany structures.

• You have experience with multi-country VAT compliance throughout Europe.

• You have a strong grasp of financial reporting standards, such as IFRS or EU GAAP.

• You have a background in building and maintaining cash flow forecasts and working capital models.

• You are highly proficient in Excel or Google Sheets at an advanced level.

• You have practical experience with accounting software, as well as backend systems like Stripe and Shopify.

• You can develop cohort analyses, unit economics, and models for customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and margins, deriving well-founded decisions from these analyses.

• You have a clear understanding of subscription metrics such as MRR, churn, and customer lifetime value.

• You exhibit a strong sense of ownership and can work independently.

• You handle sensitive financial data with responsibility and discretion.

• You have experience with international holding structures or are eager to quickly familiarize yourself with our Cyprus holding structure.
