Senior Field Technical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the strategic technical authority for designated accounts

• Showcase Cohesity technology to customer executives and technical leaders

• Conduct discovery workshops to ascertain business objectives

• Create high-level architectural options and produce design plans

• Assist in planning and executing technical demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (POCs)

• Supply technical information for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)

• Provide technical evaluations for all proposals from the account team

• Serve as a liaison with Product Management and Engineering teams

• Lead cross-functional “tiger teams” initiatives

• Mentor Systems Engineers (SEs) and other technical staff

• Function as the technical escalation point for all architectural and design matters

• Be a leader in your territory as well as within the FTD squad

• Propel results by leading product-oriented cross-functional teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in IT Storage, Backup, Virtualization, and Linux CLI

• Expertise in Cyber-security and Cyber Resilience

• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

• Experience in Database Protection and Recovery

• Understanding of Distributed Systems

• Familiarity with Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Proficiency in Layer 2 Networking and Firewalls

• Skills in Scripting and Automation

• Proficient in Visio or similar applications

• Exceptional communication and project management skills

• Strong verbal communication and presentation abilities

• Excellent written skills, with the capacity to produce documentation

• Self-motivated with outstanding organizational and time management skills

• Capability to work collaboratively across functions and lead meetings to achieve objectives

• Aptitude for managing projects and meeting deadlines

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
