Senior Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute Commissioning installations, conduct Preventative Maintenance, and perform advanced troubleshooting, problem analysis, and service for the Siemens product line.

• Carry out intricate maintenance on tools, test equipment, and more.

• Must demonstrate proficiency in using various hand tools, torque wrenches, and similar equipment.

• Capable of climbing ladders and stairs as needed.

• Able to lift heavy objects and perform bending and reaching tasks as required.

• Ensure completion of documentation for all activities conducted – including Commissioning, Preventative Maintenance, Upgrades, and troubleshooting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on technical experience with electrical measurement equipment, or an Associate's degree, or 1-2 years of vocational technical training is preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Proficient in using electrical measurement tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other specialized equipment for communication and network systems.

• Skilled in field service, troubleshooting, and commissioning for Siemens Perfect Harmony VFDs and Sinamics products.

• Proven troubleshooting abilities and strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.

• The candidate should be able to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, drawings, and installation schematics.

• Willingness to travel up to 100% for the role is required.

• Demonstrates expertise in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Process Automation and Controls, PLC programming, field excitation, and both Synchronous and Induction Motors.

• Offshore platform work is required – HUET training is necessary.
