This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to designated schedulers, aiding in their personal and professional growth.
• Assist in the development of training materials for organization-wide schedule management initiatives.
• Engage in company onboarding processes to ensure alignment with project controls goals.
• Create and sustain realistic EPC project schedules utilizing P6 software.
• Review project documents (drawings, contracts) to establish the foundation of EPC schedules.
• Conduct quantity take-offs to accurately determine activity durations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, project management, field) to gather feedback.
• Obtain input from external stakeholders (owners, consultants) to improve schedule precision and acceptance.
• Assure that schedules comply with CPM best practices, featuring robust logic and realistic timelines.
• Attend project meetings (weekly coordination, owner) to collect updates and resolve scheduling concerns.
• Revise schedules bi-monthly, integrating actuals and tracking deviations from the critical path.
• Suggest corrective measures to the project team based on schedule evaluations.
• Relay schedule updates to project teams and the scheduling manager.
• Conduct "what-if" analyses for changing conditions across integrated multiple schedules.
• Facilitate internal and external meetings, evaluating all scopes for schedule mitigation and proposing solutions.
• Maintain detailed delay logs.
• Keep all pertinent contract information, including LD exposure, with custom P6 reports.
• Track progress using company software (sunscreen) and verify against schedule updates.
• Produce and communicate a weekly regional project status report.
• Visit job sites to establish relationships and gain insights into site-specific details.
• Train other personnel on scheduling protocols.
• Aid business development and owners in assessing and enhancing project schedules.
• Support the upkeep of the P6 database (project/activity codes, file management, comments, notebooks).
• Assist in reporting efforts, ensuring the core schedule structure and activity codes are preserved.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction scheduling.
• Prior scheduling experience in an EPC environment is mandatory.
• High proficiency and experience with P6 Software is required.
• Strong ability to interpret and understand plans and specifications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and processes.
• Solid grasp of construction-related Critical Path Method scheduling.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including business writing and professional telephone etiquette.
• Reliability, dependability, and adaptability.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
