
Senior External Advisor – Middle East

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Middle East.
• Offer strategic guidance on regulatory and policy changes throughout the Middle East
• Facilitate engagement with national stakeholders across various levels of seniority
• Utilize established relationships to promote dialogue and collaboration among government, regulatory, and industry stakeholders
• Provide insights into regional dynamics involving organizations and institutions such as ASMG, the Arab League, national regulatory bodies, ITU-R, and related entities
• Assist in the creation and implementation of advocacy and engagement strategies in both regional and multilateral forums
• Actively participate in key meetings, including WRCs, ASMG sessions, ITU-R working groups, and other regional and international initiatives
• Contribute to policy analysis, briefing documents, stakeholder mapping, meeting preparations, and strategic recommendations tailored for regional stakeholders
• Discover opportunities for capacity building, partnerships, and strategic engagement throughout the region
• 10–15+ years of experience in telecommunications policy, spectrum management, satellite regulation, or related areas
• In-depth understanding of the regulatory and policy environment across the Middle East
• Comprehensive knowledge of ITU processes, including WRCs, ITU-R working groups, ASMG procedures, and regional WRC preparatory activities
• Experience working with or within government ministries, regulatory authorities, spectrum management agencies, or international/regional organizations
• Proven experience engaging with ASMG, ITU-R, WRCs, or similar international initiatives
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
