Senior External Advisor – Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic guidance on regulatory and policy changes throughout Europe.

• Assist in building relationships with national stakeholders at various seniority levels, including ministries, regulators, spectrum authorities, space agencies, and other pertinent public-sector institutions.

• Utilize existing connections to foster dialogue and collaboration among government, regulatory, and industry stakeholders.

• Provide insights into regional dynamics involving organizations and institutions such as CEPT, CPG, the European Commission, the Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG), the Radio Spectrum Committee (RSC), ITU-R, and related entities.

• Aid in the development and implementation of advocacy and engagement strategies in regional and multilateral forums.

• Actively engage in relevant meetings, such as WRCs, CEPT sessions, CPG gatherings, Project team meetings, ITU-R working groups, and other significant regional or international processes.

• Contribute to policy analysis, prepare briefing materials, map stakeholders, and provide strategic recommendations tailored to regional stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities for capacity building, partnerships, and strategic engagement throughout the region.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15+ years of experience in telecommunications policy, spectrum management, satellite regulation, international regulatory affairs, or related areas.

• Solid understanding of the European regulatory and policy framework.

• In-depth knowledge of ITU procedures, including WRCs, ITU-R working groups, CEPT processes, and European WRC preparatory activities.

• Experience collaborating with or within government ministries, regulatory agencies, spectrum management authorities, and international or regional organizations.

• Proven experience in engaging with CEPT, CPG, ITU-R, WRCs, or other related international processes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
