Senior Estimator – Life Sciences Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Creating cost plans and estimates from conceptual stages to detailed design across various geographic areas.

• Delivering and showcasing updated cost plans at key design milestones.

• Expertise in providing program-level estimates for defined scopes of work.

• Coordinating, managing, and overseeing the activities of support staff.

• Evaluating proposed design changes and new technologies while preparing estimates within suitable accuracy levels.

• Assisting in driving cost model trends by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing cost data from completed projects.

• Assessing the cost-effectiveness of alternative products and value engineering concepts at the program level.

• Facilitating training for Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools and templates.

• Aiding in the preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s Preconstruction and Estimating team.

• Producing Life Cycle Costing models.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in a construction cost management position such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Cost Controls.

• Background in providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services within a construction management or similar firm.

• Experience supporting large-scale construction projects and programs.

• Strong knowledge of technical matters within the construction industry, including value management and value engineering.
