Senior Estimator – Industrial Construction, Coatings & Preservation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire estimating process for projects involving industrial coatings and structural painting.

• Create comprehensive and precise cost estimates for preservation, rehabilitation, and protective coating initiatives.

• Examine drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project prerequisites.

• Conduct quantity takeoffs and evaluate labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and production expenses.

• Generate estimates for projects including:

• - Water tanks

• - Oil and fuel tanks

• - Ground storage tanks

• - Elevated storage tanks

• - Steel coating and preservation systems

• Assemble bid packages, pricing recommendations, and proposal support materials.

• Work collaboratively from a distance with internal estimating teams and project stakeholders.

• Assist in project handoff processes as required to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to operations.

• Keep well-organized estimate files, assumptions, and supporting documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 5 years of estimating experience in industrial construction settings.

• Proven track record in estimating structural painting and industrial coatings projects.

• Established expertise in:

• - Tank rehabilitation

• - Water storage infrastructure

• - Oil and fuel tank projects

• - Steel preservation and protective coating systems

• Experience managing estimates from initial review to final pricing submission.

• Knowledge of US construction standards, specifications, and workflows.

• Experience working collaboratively with remote US-based teams.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Capacity to operate independently with minimal oversight.
