Senior Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Creating cost plans and estimates from the conceptual phase through detailed design across various geographic regions, collaborating with both internal and external personnel.

• Presenting and delivering updated cost plans at key design milestones.

• Demonstrated experience in generating program-level estimates for specific project scopes.

• Coordinating, managing, and overseeing the work of support staff.

• Evaluating proposed design modifications and new technologies while preparing estimates with suitable accuracy levels.

• Assisting in analyzing and summarizing cost data from completed projects to influence cost model trends.

• Evaluating the cost efficiency of alternative products and value engineering proposals at the program level.

• Providing training to Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools and templates.

• Aiding in the preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s Preconstruction and Estimating team.

• Creating Life Cycle Costing models.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field within construction.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.

• Background in a construction cost management position, such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Cost Controls.

• Experience in providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm.

• Experience in supporting large-scale construction projects and programs.

• Strong understanding of construction industry technical matters, including value management and value engineering.

• Exceptional communication skills.
