Senior ERP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main administrator for the Deltek Vantagepoint and Trimble Spectrum ERP systems.

• Set up and maintain the Project Management, Accounting, Procurement, Timekeeping, and HR/Payroll modules.

• Design, implement, and oversee ERP integrations with payroll processors, CRM, document management systems, and other enterprise tools.

• Manage system security settings, user roles, and data access controls.

• Create and enhance custom reports and dashboards utilizing Crystal Reports, Power BI, and SQL.

• Develop and refine SQL queries for ERP data extraction, analysis, and validation purposes.

• Convert business requirements into actionable reports in collaboration with Finance, Project Management, and Operations teams.

• Generate ad hoc reports for executives, auditors, and project managers.

• Maintain a standardized reporting library and ensure data integrity.

• Oversee user provisioning, deprovisioning, roles, and permissions.

• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshoot issues related to the ERP system.

• Coordinate the resolution of escalated issues with Deltek, Trimble, and third-party vendors.

• Plan, test, and implement upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and service packs.

• Maintain development, testing, and staging environments.

• Create upgrade runbooks, test plans, rollback procedures, and change-management documentation.

• Monitor product roadmaps and suggest system enhancements.

• Assist with internal and external financial, operational, and compliance audits.

• Prepare, extract, and validate data and reports requested by auditors.

• Ensure that ERP configurations, access controls, and workflows comply with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with Product, Finance, HR, Engineering, Project Controls, and Executive Leadership teams.

• Effectively communicate project status, risks, and milestones to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in administering and configuring ERP systems within a professional services, engineering, or construction setting.

• Familiarity with any major ERP platform (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint, Trimble Spectrum, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

• Strong skills in Crystal Reports, Power BI, and SQL.

• Proven experience with ERP upgrades, patches, and managing the system lifecycle.

• Experience in managing user access controls, roles, and security settings within enterprise platforms.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and achieve results within tight project deadlines.

• Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field.

• Preferred: Direct experience with the administration and configuration of Deltek Vantagepoint and/or Trimble Spectrum.

• Preferred: Certification(s) in Deltek, Trimble, or other ERP platforms.

• Preferred: Experience in engineering, mechanical, or construction services.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SQL Server and Windows Server environments.

• Preferred: Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM change management frameworks.

• Preferred: Previous systems-level support for financial or compliance audits.

• Preferred: Experience with API integrations, ETL processes, or middleware platforms.
