• The Beaker/Blood Bank analyst, operating with minimal supervision, will engage in the design, construction, configuration, testing, and upkeep of Epic Beaker clinical/anatomic pathology and blood bank software.
• Collaborate effectively with lab team members to ensure that workflow, device integration, testing, validation, and Beaker functionalities align with specifications.
• Work closely with clinical teams to guarantee that Epic Beaker and blood bank software meet established specifications.
• Conduct ongoing maintenance and configuration updates for Epic Beaker and Blood Bank applications.
• Develop test scripts, timelines, and plans for application and workflow modifications. Execute testing of clinical information system configurations and processes, including cross-application testing and the configuration testing of other analysts' applications. Coordinate and participate in user testing for application changes.
• Provide tier-two support to end-users both remotely and in-person. Monitor, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incoming support tickets. Act as a liaison between users and vendors, coordinating system fixes and changes with software vendors, and oversee the implementation of application changes in collaboration with the training team and operations.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Equivalent years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Epic Certification must be maintained according to Epic Corporation Standards.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience with Epic Beaker CP or AP or Blood Bank or Molecular software development/build lifecycles.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a matrixed environment.
• Proven critical and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven troubleshooting skills.
• Exceptional organizational management capabilities.
• Project Management skills are preferred.
