Senior Environmental, Remediation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the senior technical leader on projects generating annual revenues between $2M and $3M.

• Play a key role in the successful acquisition of new clients and projects exceeding $500K annually, specializing in brownfields redevelopment, groundwater/soil characterization and remediation, landfill engineering, or water resources.

• Draft and review technical reports and proposals.

• Support project management tasks.

• Guide and train technical personnel while ensuring the delivery of high-quality work products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• At least 8 years of experience in environmental/remediation services, encompassing technical writing, technical oversight, project management, business development, and staff management.

• Familiarity with manufacturing, utility, oil & gas, and municipal (including landfill) sites; experience with petroleum and chlorinated solvent contaminants, as well as Potentially Responsible Parties (PRP) groups.

• California Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.

• Demonstrated success in business development and project management.

• Experience in mentoring and developing staff members.

• Exceptional technical writing abilities and the capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks.

• Strong safety awareness and a solid understanding of safe work practices.

• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required.

• A valid driver’s license is necessary.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
